You will find two different size inserts. Narrow insert is designed for pregnancy. 

After you give birth to your little angel, please use the bigger insert. This insert has a hood for the baby to keep that little head warm. 

And when the days (or years-who knows) are over for wearing your baby & toddler, you may enjoy using the Neko jacket only for yourself. 

It’s usually normal to wear something thinner than your regular winter outfit. Keep in mind that babywearer moms sweat a lot!  So softshell jackets are warm enough for almost all winter.
